Zero Point Energy is proud to announce that its Co-founder & Managing Director, Muhammad Taher Khan, was recently nominated and awarded as a M&G 200 Young South African 2018 accolade for his career progession in renewable energy business & entrepreneurship, and most recent involvement in co-establishing and growing Zero Point Energy into the innovative and rapidly growing sustainable engineering company it is today. From the Mail & Guardian website: “Each year the Mail & Guardian profiles interesting young South Africans who have stood out from the pack and who show us what to look forward to in the country’s future. These under-35s are talented and have shown themselves to be leaders. They are the ones to watch.”
His social media response to the award is duplicated below:
“Humbled but also delighted to have been nominated and eventually awarded as one of Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans 2018 finalists last night. In awe of the calibre of young people I met doing their bit for a better world. It’s been a fascinating life’s journey to this point, but feel like the real voyage of discovery has only really begun!
We achieve nothing out of our own doing. Attribute it all to the blessings of the Almighty, the prayers & sacrifices of my parents, the support of my loved ones & friends, the motivation from my kids, the shared aspirations of my business & NPO co-founders, the knowledge imparted down by my secular & religous teachers, the spirit of my team members, the trust of our clients & partners, the guidance of my mentors, the inspiration from my role models, the humblings of my mistakes, the gratitude of my successes and ultimately, the vision of a world bigger than myself. Thank you to all of you who’ve played a role in my life. Looking forward to make some meaningful contribution to the world, insha Allah (God Willing)”
