In January 2021 our KZN projects team recently concluded a 25kWp solar PV installation for a power-intensive meat processing facility in Northern KZN.
With upfront design & planning done thoroughly, we were in and out in under a week despite the recent rainy weather, with no disruptions to the client’s business operations.

We recently concluded an awesome project that the ZPE team worked on for a client in Westdene, Gauteng, South Africa. The system was designed with some novel tech, and successfully commissioned in December 2020.

The ZPE team recently concluded a 12.5kW grid-tie roof-top solar PV installation for a client in Houghton Estate, JHB. The system will generate up to 60 kWhrs/units of electricity per day using top tier solar panels that have 25 year performance warranties.
The system consists of a dual-phase inverter system with remote monitoring capability, and designed to maximise solar PV consumption during daytime when electricity consumption is high at this premises. Any excess solar is planned to feed back into the City Power utility grid.
Design & execution of a hybrid three-phase solar PV system for a client in Melrose, JHB. System comprises a Victron-based energy storage system (ESS) with solar MPPT charge controllers and Li-On batteries with remote monitoring and grid-limiting functionality.

Design & execution of a hybrid solar PV system for a client in an eco-estate in Lanseria. System comprises of a customised roof-mounting solution using wind deflectors as well as a Victron-based energy storage system (ESS) with solar MPPT charge controllers and Li-On batteries with remote monitoring.

Almost ready to kick off another at a new large-scale residential development in Houghton, JHB.
This system consists of a custom-designed solar panel roof mounting structure, and a dual-redundant & co-ordinated back-up power supply via generator & lithium-ion battery system to ensure a seamless load-shedding free property!
In addition, a grid-tied solar PV system has been included to allow daily charging of batteries from renewable energy to significantly reduce long-term electricity costs in the order of R90 000 per annum, that would otherwise have been incurred by the owner.
The system is designed to be centrally and remotely monitored, allowing us to optimise settings in future if we detect changes in the client’s usage patterns. Built with industry-leading equipment with warranties to match.
Design & execution of a grid-tied solar PV system for a public-sector National Key Point in South Africa. System comprises of a single-axis ground-mount tracker system to maximise yield gain. System includes grid limiting and active control of a grid-tied inverter system including upstream electrical upgrades to integrate into the client’s 11kV ring main network.
