Zero Point Energy Job Opportunity: Company Administrator – 17 June 2020

Zero Point Energy is a proudly South African & Level 1 BBBEE sustainability-focused engineering company providing bespoke designs, consulting engineering & turn-key EPC solutions in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, off-grid and backup power in the Southern African commercial, industrial, public, agricultural and residential sectors. We are looking for a full-time Company Administrator to join us on this exciting journey, to contribute and add value to both the company and their career development in the niche sustainability-focused engineering sectors that we play in. Job role below:

Office Administration Roles:

  • Manage office landline, team calendar, & travel planning
  • Manage office & site visit meeting scheduling & meeting minutes
  • Manage office stationery, PPE, deliveries, local pick-ups, office related invoice filing, and storeroom (in close alignment with technical team)
  • Draft and submit company documentation (applications, letters, etc) when necessary
  • Assist with co-ordination of client leads (client telephone calls, email & social media) with internal team members using company CRM platform (in close alignment with BD manager)


Project Administration Roles:

  • Manage and ensure all documentation pertaining to projects are up to date, accessible and properly organized in team cloud sharing folders – working in close alignment with project team
  • Playing key role in managing tender/proposal submissions under guidance of Business development Manager
  • Keep track of emails and other communication from sales team to ensure that project quotes and proposals are up to date and as per company requirements
  • Assist in making quality management system (QMS) documentation available and accessible to relevant company employees for administration on all projects
  • Liaise with project managers continuously and ensure proper filing of project invoices, quotes, contracts, etc both in project electronic folders and hard-copy where necessary
  • Assist in writing-up standard operating procedures for aspects related to scope of work

General Requirements:

  • Office located in Auckland Park, JHB
  • Must be a self-starting and proactive person, who is motivated and able to work well independently as well as within matrix teams reporting to both functional and project managers
  • Great written and oral communication skills. Willing to learn and pick up new skills quickly and effectively
  • Must be very proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Calendar), social media platforms and general digital working environment
  • Proficiency in Sage Accounting, MS Projects & digital marketing will be a plus
  • Driver’s licence and own vehicle preferable
  • Able to provide contactable references
  • Minimum work experience: 3-4 years in similar office and/or project administration role
  • Package will be based on a base salary + project profit-share + deal closing commission basis (optional)
  • Initially, 6-month contract with option to extend (performance dependent) with initial 2-month’s being a probation period
