Project was executed by Zero Point Energy on a turn-key EPC basis for this commercial retail client in Pretoria, Gauteng. System included:
Over 380 kWhr (80%) of the site’s daily electricity consumption will now be generated daily by the 88kW solar PV system.
With 88kW of hybrid inverter capacity and 120 kWhr of lithium-ion battery storage, the site has been designed to smartly store excess solar energy for night usage, execute peak demand shaving, provide backup power during load shedding and integrate with the existing diesel generator on site in future.
This commercial retail site will now have enhanced self-reliance, reduced operational electricity bills and contribute towards reducing its carbon footprint.
